The weather was predicted to rain and storm, and BOY did it rain! Thankfully this venue had so many options that we could take pictures under the home’s covered porch until the rain cleared up! Thank goodness for that! We also had 7 clear umbrellas on standby (shout out to my second shooter Jinny for making that Target run for more umbrellas just in case!!). The rain cleared out just in time for some portraits and the ceremony! This beautiful ceremony was held in the garden at the Hill Home! The X-back chairs, flower petals and guitar player set the mood for a sweet, simple and perfect ceremony. And let me say that the rain did not damper the spirits of Lauren and David! When he saw her for the first time, he was SO happy! So, brides remember rain does not make or break your wedding! Yes, it may cause some changes in the venue or timing, but you are marrying your soulmate! So be like Lauren and David if it rains on your big day! After the ceremony, Lauren and David shared a private 20 minutes together in a gazebo that was located in the woods, under a floral chandelier and candlelight. (This another thing I strongly suggest for brides and grooms to do! Even if it’s only 10-15 minutes! That alone time is a great time for reflection as newlyweds and to take in the day!) Dinner was a home style lay out behind the Hill Home where gorgeous draped lights, candle lit lanterns and florals were adorned. To end the night, a surprise horse and carriage swept the newlyweds away for their honeymoon! The day was perfect from beginning to end and we are so happy for the new Mr. and Mrs. McConnell! Have so much fun in Maui!!
